Training for Staff, Volunteers and Trustees from Voluntary and Community Organisations

 

Northallerton & District Voluntary Service Association offers the following:

 

o Support with undertaking a training needs assessment of your trustees, staff and volunteers.

o Help with seeking sources of funding to meet training needs.  (View  our funding advice page.)

 

o Training courses run by NDVSA are promoted through the North Yorkshire Forum for Voluntary Organisations Training Calendar found at www.nyfvo.org.uk.

o Signposting to other appropriate sources of training.

 

 

NDVSA can also support groups with the design and delivery of custom-made training courses. For example:

 

Voluntary Group Development

Writing effective funding applications.

Fund raising.

Governance structures.

Writing a business plan.

Writing a marketing plan.

Project planning.

 

Volunteering Issues

Volunteer recruitment.

Best practice working with volunteers.

Writing a volunteer policy.

Retaining volunteers.

Induction, training and accreditation.

Providing support and supervision to volunteers.

Health and safety for volunteers.

Issues of confidentiality.

 

 

MiDAS Training
