Bedale Community Minibus was set up in 1993 to provide rural transport for the people of Bedale and the surrounding villages.
The minibus has a tail-lift for wheelchair access and for those with mobility problems, and can carry 14 passengers or 9 passengers plus 2 wheelchairs.
All our drivers and escorts are volunteers and they have all undergone Minibus Drivers Awareness Scheme (MiDAS) training, and have been subject to Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checks.
The minibus is available for hire to all community groups in the Bedale area. Community groups are welcome to use their own drivers providing that they are in possession of a MiDAS Certificate (we can arrange the training).
We provide a service to Northallerton market each Wednesday morning and provide transport for people travelling to Dalescare Day Centre, and other destinations.
Can you spare a few hours per month?
Would you like to help others in your local community? We would love to hear from you if you could help out with driving the minibus or by being an escort.
